Ellen Morin

Morin, Ellen Elizabeth Finman; October 31, 1917- December 28, 2013; Ellen was born in Escanaba, Michigan, to Swedish immigrants, Oscar and Sophie Setterlind Finman. She and her husband Vital "Red" Morin moved to Lake Orion in 1942. Red was the manager of the Lake Orion Lumber Company for many years and Ellen worked in the school cafeteria and at Jacobsen's Florist Shop before retiring. She was a member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church for more than 60 years. She is preceed in death by her husband, Red; her sister, Dagmar; and brothers, Joel and Harold. Ellen is survived by two daughters, Janice (Doug) Teasdale of Aurora, CO; and Jeanne Imboden of Milford, MI; as well as four grandchildren, Cheryl Teasdale of Aurora, CO; Craig (Stacy) Teasdale of Parker, CO; Kathleen (Larry) Thompson of Milford, MI; and Kristen (Christopher) Dickerson of Linden, MI; 14 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-granchild. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
