Elvia Gonzales was born on February 14, 1976 and passed away on June 27, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital with her loving husband by her side. Elvia was a sweet and loving soul that put the needs of others before her own. Elvia loved spending time with family and friends and her parents and brothers were her everything. She was a caring and loving wife and exceptional mother to her daughters who she cherished and were her world. She loved to laugh and dance and lived life to the fullest.

Elvia was a resident of Clarkston, Michigan at the time of her passing and is survived by the love of her life, her husband Ricardo Gonzales and her two beautiful daughters Desiree and Mari who loved their mother very much.

Elvia is also survived by her parents Guillermo and Diana Rodriguez Sr. and her brothers, Guillermo Rodriguez Jr., Jose Rodriguez (Melanie), Rolando Rodriguez, Lydia Gonzales Rosario, Lisa (Michael) Paramo, Tony Gonzales and Simon and Olga Gonzales; and her loving mother and father-in-law, Olga and Simon. She is also survived by best friends Raquel Aguilera and Stephanie Strunk and nephews and nieces and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Elvia was proceeded in death by her grandparents Jose and Herlinda Pena Sr., Jose Pena Jr., Francisco Pena Sr., Henry Pena Sr., and Eliseo Sauceda Sr.

The family will receive friends at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. at St. Damien of Molokai Parish - St. Vincent De Paul Church.
