Emilio Cruz Salazar went home to our Lord on the evening of December 1, 2021 at the young age of 47. He is survived by his wife Juanita "Janie" Salazar, and stepchildren Mariah and Marcos Harden; his loving partner, Erica Salazar, their 10-year-old son, Emiliano Rudolpho Isaac Salazar, his step-daughter, Elizabeth Prebus, whom he loved as his own; his mother, the late Virginia Guzman; his late father Rudolpho Salazar, his siblings, Cristelo (Angelica) Resendez, Renee (Dale) Roach, Virginia Dorse, Rosanna Morgan, Lora Morgan, Farrah (Jesse) Garcia, Ruby Montoya, Larry (Zelma) Young, and Sharon Morgan; his close cousins which he loved like siblings, Michael (Casey) Lopez, Anthony (Cheryl) Lopez, Joseph (Nicole) Lopez, Michael (Jessica) Szyller, Desiree (Elizondo) Gonzales, Deborah (Ronald) Jabalee, Sandra (Felipe) Frausto, José (Christina) Rincon, Antonio Quintero, Richard Szyller, Keena Bermea and her late husband Daniel Gonzales, Jessica Bermea, Emmanuel Bermea, and the late Chalio Rincon. He was a very loving uncle to Gabriela (Brandon), Cecelia (Paul), Cristelo, and Christian Resendez, among countless other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and loved ones from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Texas. His loving Aunties and Uncle, Yolanda and Clemente Bermea, Sarah Rincon and Melva Lopez cherished him dearly. Emilio was a loving father, a loyal friend, an extraordinarily talented chef, and the life of every gathering. He will most definitely be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel.
