Emma "Pat" French

Emma "Pat" Davies French, 94, of Lake Orion, Michigan, formerly of Grosse Ile, and Trenton, peacefully entered heaven May 29, 2021.

Pat was born February 12, 1927, in Newport, Tennessee, and spent her early years in the hills of eastern Tennessee. As a young lady, she moved with her family to Wyandotte. She raised her children on Grosse Ile. Pat loved hearing and telling jokes, playing scrabble, playing the piano, and singing her favorite songs.

Pat was preceded in death by her father, Charles Clift and mother, Eula Ramsey, husbands Stanley Davies and Alvin French and her son John Shinavier and son-in-law Robert Cousino. She is survived by her children Jill Cousino of Flat Rock, Michigan; Jane (Dann) Deaver of Elk Rapids, Michigan; Julie (Remos) Lenio of Grand Rapids, Michigan; David (Julie) Davies of Tiffin, Ohio; stepchildren, Jack Davies of Torrance, California; and Holly Taylor of Rockwood, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and those who knew her.

The family is thankful for the staff at Lake Orion Nursing Center for making her feel special while she was a resident there. We also appreciate and thank McLaren Hospice for their care and comfort to our family.

A private service will be held at a later date.
