Ethel B Hassenzahl

Ethel Barbara Hassenzahl, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2020. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones, in the home that she had built herself decades earlier. She is survived by her son and daughter, grandsons and granddaughter as well as nieces and nephews.

Ethel was born in a cozy house in Pontiac, MI and called Lake Orion, MI home for the rest of her life.

Ethel was and always will be a beacon of light and good for those she touched. She will be missed dearly, but her life of selflessness and devotion will always remain as a shining example of what is possible through love.

Ethel always put those around her first, whether as a mother, a latchkey professional for Lake Orion Community Schools or as a lifelong member of the Missionary Church in Lake Orion and Clarkston.

Ethel was a woman of incredible faith. Now that she has ascended to Heaven for her eternal peace, we will remember and honor her life's work: to love unconditionally.
