Eugene Ledbetter

Eugene Ledbetter; of Oxford; age 85; passed away on February 19, 2020.  Eugene is the beloved husband of the late Irene for 57 years; loving father of Willard (Marilynn) Ledbetter and Roy (Joan) Osborne; loving grandfather of Chris (Roberta) Osborne, Jennifer (Rob) McPherson, Jason (Veronica) Osborne, Krystal Bauer, and Corey Osborne; and many great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother Billy Ledbetter and sister LaVerne Trailor.  Eugene was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 108.  You could often see him walking with his dog Fluffy while enjoying his coffee and a good cigar.  He took pride in the enormous tomato plants that he grew every year.  He loved cracking jokes, doing crossword puzzles, watching NASCAR, or old Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith shows.  He will be dearly missed by his children, grandchildren and many cousins.  The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 2-6pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
