Eugenia Rodriguez

Eugenia Rodriguez, passed away June 6, 2021; wife of the late Brigido C. Rodriguez. She was born March 6, 1922 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico to Eugenio and Ignacia Cruz–Figueroa. She was 1 of 8 children. She and Brigido moved to Pontiac, Michigan in 1954 married and, their family grew. They are the  parents to Maria (Salvador), Miriam (Jimmy), Harold (Irma), Rosa (Jon), Orlando (Migdalia), Ernesto and Yolanda (Kenneth). Eugenia was proceeded in death by her husband, and 2 daughters, Maria and Yolanda. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Eugenia was also known as "Genita" and "Gena". She retired from Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital (Maclaren) after 23 years of service. Gena was very active in her church, St. Vincent de Paul for many years and was also a member of the Puerto Rican Social Club. She loved to cook, dance and sing. Most importantly, she was our matriarch and loved her family very much. She will be dearly missed. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 12 noon at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 2–4pm and 6–8pm. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery.
