Eugenio Serna Guzman, age 67; July 26, 2008; Eugenio is survived by his beloved wife Mary H. Guzman and four children from his previous marriage, Noe (Tami) Guzman, Ophelia (Tom) Dowling, Eugenio (Stephanie) Guzman Jr., and Lisa Guzman. He is also survived by his three daughters Sarah Velasquez, Delia (Michael) Garcia, and Belia (Greg) Bryant; 18 grandchildren, one great granddaughter; brothers and sisters, Luicinda (Jose) Vasquez, Paulino (Sarah) Guzman, Thomasa (Gilbert) Lopez; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Antonio Guzman, Rafeal Guzman Jr., and Exiquio Guzman. The family will receive friends at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home with suggested visiting hours on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services and burial will take place in Mercedes, Texas where he will be laid to rest in peace with his late parents Rafeal and Eugenia Guzman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with burial expenses. Reflections may be shared by visiting www.sparksgriffin.com.
