Eulalio Vasquez, lovingly known as Eddie; April 10, 2006; of Pontiac, age 77. Beloved husband of the late Fransisca Cantu-Vasquez. Loving son of Fransisca Vasquez. Dear father of Eulalio "Jim" F. (Veronica) Vasquez, Kathleen (Rick) Ortega, Anthony J. (Denise) Vasquez and David Vasquez. Brother of George Vasquez, Louis (Juanita) Vasquez, Theresa Alvarado, Gavino (Juanita) Vasquez, Pauline (Fidel) Castillo, Ponciano (Maria) Vasquez, Luis (Theresa) Vasquez and Matilda V. (Bobby) Jimenez. Grandfather of Salvador Rivera, Eyvonne Rivera, Mario Vasquez, Jeff Vasquez, Jessica Vasquez, Nicholas Ortega and David Brett Vasquez. Great-grandfather of six. Mr. Vasquez was preceded in death by his father Luis Vasquez. Mr. Vasquez served as Head of Volunteers at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for 17 years and worked for Pontiac Motors for over 20 years. He served on the "Easter Seals" committee and was actively involved in sports and recreation for physically impaired associations. Mr. Vasquez loved fishing and playing pool and will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with Father Sean Sylvester officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Interment Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery.
