Frances Johnson

Frances Johnson; of Lake Orion; passed away on October 11, 2020; age 99.  Fran is the dear wife of Don Johnson whom she married on June 14, 1941. She is the loving mother of Gary (Genine); adoring grandmother of Don (Joan), Scott, Susan and Todd (Marni); great grandmother of 16; great-great grandmother of 17; and dear aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Fran was born in Lake Orion to Clayton and Ila Sims; and was the oldest of her 7 siblings, who have preceded her in death, Robert “Bob”, Charles, Ruth, Warren “Bud”, Clayton “Junior”, Mary Ellen and Marvin. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Orion and longtime member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. Fran was a very passionate and competitive card player and she also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and baking (especially cookies). Family was very important to Fran, and she loved family gatherings. A visitation for Don and Fran will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 12-2pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
