Frances “Fritzie” Mae Boelter; age 86; of Auburn Heights, Michigan; passed away peacefully on July 18, 2020 with her boys by her side. Fran was born February 21, 1934 in Avon Township to the late Frank and Helen Bohlman. She married the love of her life, LeRoy Boelter on April 13, 1957. They were married 48 years, until his death in 2005. Fran is the beloved mother of the late Jeff ( Sonja) Boelter, Jay Paul Boelter, and Joel (Cynthia) Boelter; loved and adored grandmother of Danike (David), Tyler (Taylor Schroeder), Kelly, Jordan, Mattheas and Anja; dear great grandmother of Judah, Abby and Zeke. Fran graduated from Avondale High School in 1952 and attended Central Michigan University for four years. After the birth of her children, Fran was a teacher’s aide, third grade teacher and librarian at Auburn Heights Elementary School, and continued to volunteer there for many years after retirement. She loved nothing more spending time with her family and friends playing cards, doing puzzles and reading to her grandchildren as she could make any book come to life. She also enjoyed passing along her love of knitting and crocheting to her daughters and granddaughters. Fran was a member of Mount Hope Lutheran Church for many years, where she also volunteered. Through the years, Fran touched many lives in her community. Her kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial celebration in Fran’s honor will be held in the spring of 2021. Memorial contributions may made in her name to The Auburn Hills Public Library or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
