Gary L. Sawyer

Gary Loren Sawyer; of Lapeer; age 75; passed away on October 6, 2021.  Gary is the beloved husband of Dee Sawyer for 53 years; loving father of Gary (Shawna) Sawyer and Cody Sawyer; loving grandfather of Chrissany, Alexis and Cara Sawyer; loving papa of Everleigh Sawyer and Autumn Morris.  He is also the dear brother of Nadene (Bill) Muehlmann, Kelly (Kathleen) Sawyer and Beth Carr.  Gary was a hardworking family man who was always tinkering and fixing things.  He was a carpenter by trade but often worked as a handyman and was always there to help.  In his past time he loved to be outdoors whenever he could and even took up gardening.  Gary was an avid reader who enjoyed sitting in his chair reading the daily newspaper.  Most of all he was a wonderful papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.  The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
