George T. Pappas; October 1, 2010; of Waterford; age 88; beloved husband of the late Katherine Pappas; loving father of Zoe (Jason) Doherty of Waterford, Georgia (Jerry) McNish of Tennessee, Anthony (Catherine) Pappas of Arizona, and Deno (Karie) Pappas of Waterford; grandfather of Gregory Lindstrom of Nashville, TN., Deno Jr. and Dana Pappas of Waterford; dear brother to Harriet Bohac, Bessie Alukos, Olga Dugan of Chicago and Gus Pappas of Wisconsin. George was preceded in death by his sisters Ann, Florence and Helen. George retired from GM Truck and Coach in 1980 and was Past Master of Pontiac Masonic Lodge #21. George was also a member of the Grotto, Veteran of the U S Navy during WWII, and a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Bloomfield Hills. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 10 a.m.at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Bloomfield Hills. Family will receive friends on Monday, 7-9 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:30 and on Tuesday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.with a Trisagion-Greek service at 7:30 p.m. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
