POLLEFEYT, George P. Jr. January 28, 2010. Age 96 of Auburn Hills, formerly of Ferndale and Fedhaven, FL. Beloved husband of Iva of 72 years before her death in 2007. Dear father of Ruth (David) Farrington of Lake Orion, Phyllis (Jim) Hays of MO and Robert (Petrella) Pollefeyt of AR. Grandfather of 12 and Great-grandfather of 38. Mr. Pollefeyt graduated from Lawrence Tech Univ. with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1938. He worked for Chrysler Corp. as a Product Engineer retiring in 1973. George was an auxiliary fireman in Ferndale from 1941-1946 and very active in the Ferndale P.T.A. and School Board affairs. Upon moving to Fedhaven, Florida in 1975, he was very active as Secretary of Volunteer Fire Co.; Assistant Chief for 5 years, Director of Residents Assoc.; Director of Fedhaven Vespers and Lifetime Member of the Fedhaven Volunteer Fire Co. Funeral Service 11:30 am, Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Monday 10:30am until time of service.
