George Mojet Sr.

December 2, 1925 — May 22, 2010

George Mojet, Sr.;May 22, 2010; of Pontiac; was born December 26,1925 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Joseph Mojet and Celestine Richard. He was the third of twelve children, four brothers and seven sisters. George served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Philippines. He retired from Pontiac Motors after 36 years of service. George enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, body and paint repairs, and all the Detroit teams. He was also known for cooking delicious Creole dishes. Boxing was also his main sport to watch. George leaves to mourn his memory his children, Crystal (Rufus) Hannah, George Jr., Joseph Inola "Renee" Mojet, Kenneth (Jamie), Kimberly, Patrick, Patricia ( Victor) Williams and Eric. One sister, Imelda Malveaux and one brother, Mack Richard. He was preceded in death by his daughter Theresa Mojet Johnson, along with six sisters, three brothers and Hazel Mojet; a special friend Barbara High and a host of loving friends and relatives. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29,2010 at 10:30 from the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks- Griffin Funeral Home. Family hour will be 9:30 a.m.. until time of service.
