George Thomas Stephens

Stephens, George Thomas; entered into God's glory on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the age of 52. George was the beloved husband of Juli Stephens; loving father of Jamie , Paige, Samantha and Aaron; treasured brother of Mary, Tom, Diane, Theresa and Barb. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Molly and parents George and Berdena. George enjoyed a long career at General Motors, beginning at Cadillac where he made many lifelong friends. He was an active member in the United Methodist Church, and enjoyed all the ministries he served (youth mission, trustees, Green's Market, ushering, etc.). He was an accomplished pilot, taking his family on many great vacations. He met his challenge of cancer with inspiring hope, courage and tenacity. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo St. in Rochester. The Family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME Lake Orion. Donations may be made to Lake Orion United Methodist Church or Wings of Mercy East MI.
