Gerard Flannery

Flannery, Gerard J. "Jerry"; of Bloomfield Hills; age 92; January 22, 2014. Jerry was the loving husband of the late Shirley; beloved father of Michael (Mary) Flannery, Gerard J. "Jerry" Flannery Jr., and the late Maureen Flannery; dear grandfather of Anne Marie (Steve) Michalec, Michael (Katherine) Flannery Jr., and Erin Flannery; and special great grandfather of Ryan, Sean, Adam, Michael III, and Piper. Mr. Flannery was a U.S. Navy Blimp Pilot during WWII. Following his time in the Navy, he worked for Rockwell International serving as the Manager of Accounting, the Manager of the General Service Parts Division, Manager of the Military Products Division and retiring as the Director of Government Relations. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 2 to 7 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Flint St., Lake Orion with Scripture Prayers to begin at 6:00 p.m. Interment Guardian Angel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
