Gerdon C. "Pete" Gavette; May 13, 2006; age 91; born July 27, 1914 in Pontiac, Michigan; beloved husband of the late Valerie Gavette; loving father of sons, Curtis (Barbara) Gavette of Linden, Michigan and Robert (Jeannene) McDaniel of Clarkston; and daughter, Carmen (Larry) Lackey of Waterford; a special grandfather and great- grandfather. Pete retired from Pontiac Motors after 37 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards, calling Bingo and taking trips with his many friends at American House, where he resided. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, with Reverend Chris Richards officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Pontiac. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse of Oakland County.
