Gertrude "Trude" Tanana

Gertrude Tanana; April 26, 1929 - June 1, 2023
On June 1st, Gertrude "Trude" Tanana, mother of four, grandmother and friend to many, passed away at the age of ninety-four. Trude was born in Detroit, Michigan to Anton and Anna Grunwald. Trude was blessed with four children, Karen, Michael, Christopher, and Susan; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. After retiring from Botsford Hospital, Trude enjoyed traveling to Europe on pilgrimages, spending her winters in Stuart, Florida, and crocheting blankets to donate to local charities. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00am with visitation from 10:30-11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Road, Lake Orion, MI 48362.
