Gladys Martha Figueroa

Gladys M. Figueroa was born to the late Vincente Colon and Genara Perez in Ponce, Puerto Rico on December 29, 1946.

Gladys later met her husband Rogelio in Chicago, Illinois where they started dating in 1966. They then moved to Pontiac, Michigan where they got married on December 6, 1969 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Together they had 6 children; 4 boys and 2 girls.

Gladys is survived by her husband, Rogelio Figueroa; sister, Lucy Reyes; children, Miquel Sr. (Evelyn), Johnny (Shawna), Belinda(Tooch), Maggie (Danny) and Freddie (Marilyn); grandchildren, Miquel Jr. (Kelly), Enrique (Lorraine), Mimi (Antonio), Alexa (Eric), DeAnna, Nana, Gianni, Freddie Jr., Giselle, Kiara and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Mika, Jordan, Kai'Lea,, Antonio Jr., Mila, Karter, Cali, Dominic, Isaiah, Da'Lana, Dinero, Giana and Eric Jr.; and special daughter, Angela. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincente Colon and Genara Perez; son, Roger Figueroa; and brother, Elvin Colon.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at St. Damien of Molokai Parish - St. Vincent De Paul Church, 46408 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. with rosary prayers at 7:00p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery.
