Gladys M. Ward

Gladys M. Ward; of Pontiac; passed away August 23, 2013 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Jesse Ward for over 33 years. Dearest mother of Joanetta (Lloyd) Burney, Evelyn (Lonnie) Moncrief; sister of Catherine Sutton and Eunice Stewart, one brother Samuel James Jones Jr.; six grandsons and numerous grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 512 Pearsall St. with Rev. Donnie Benion officiating, Pastor Terence Gowdy. Family hour will be at 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pontiac chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 46 Williams St. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
