Glenn Allen Helm

Glenn Allen Helm; of Rochester Hills, Michigan; age 60; passed away at Troy Beaumont Hospital after an unexpected accident on October 28, 2023. Glenn is the husband of Patricia Helm; father of Kevin (Kristina) Helm; brother of Madeline Wynegar, Melvin (Peg) Helm, Marilyn Carlson, Bessie Roszak, Larry (Sarah) Helm, Lois Parkin, David (Linda) Helm, Terry Helm, Cheryl Helm, Marge (Roy) Strahan, Barbara Horton, Arlene Moody and Lyndel Davis; brother-in-law of Dan and Carol Darga, Rick and Brenda Doll, Paul and Chris Doll, Rick and Teresa Helm, Dan and Sherri Doll and Joe and Paula Doll; and son-in-law of Richard and Margaret Doll.

After graduating high school, Glenn proudly served in the Navy from 1980 to 1984. During his service with the Navy, he was able to travel around the world and experience different cultures. Shortly after leaving the Navy, he met his beautiful wife, Patty. This year, they celebrated 36 years of marriage. Together, they raised and provided a loving home for their son Kevin. Glenn was a good man who loved the Lord and enacted His will by caring for those around him. He always made time to help others when they called. Glenn shared many interests with those he loved, such as his curiosity about nature, astronomy, and birdwatching. He loved the simple things in life: spending time with family and friends, the smell of the leaves that had fallen during Autumn, and showing love for those around him. He also enjoyed regular camping trips, a yearly fishing trip to Canada, and hunting with family. Glenn will be missed and loved by all who knew him.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Friday, November 3rd, from 4-7pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Pontiac. A small service will be held during the viewing to commemorate Glenn’s life starting at 6pm. The family has asked that flowers not be sent for the visitation. Glenn will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly on Monday, November 6th at 10am.
