Guy Felix Sanchez, age 59, of Lake Orion, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, with family at his side. He was a graduate of Lake Orion High School, class of 1982. Guy worked in construction for over a decade and was a jack of all trades. Guy loved his family more than anything. He loved hosting family dinners and game nights, bonfires, and birthday parties. Guy is the dear husband of Rosa; the beloved father of Crystal (Frankie), Courtnay, Brittany, MiaAngel, Santos, Sophia, and Isabel; grandfather of Dominic, Delana, Bianca, and Hope, with one great-grandchild on the way, Amelia Estrella Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his father, Santos G. Sanchez, and mother, Maria del Carmen Garcia, and stepfather, Juan Garcia. He is also survived by his stepmother, Mary Sanchez, brothers Bobby Sanchez (Krissy), Stace Sanchez (Richard Moss), Albert Amador (Nelda) and his sisters Ruby Marquez (Jorge) and Tina Delgado (Nazario “Pelon”); numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. Guy was fortunate enough to see his Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 10, 2024, while he lay in his bed at his brother Bobby and sister-in-law Krissy’s home. He wiggled his feet to the music and smiled while the event was captured on live video. The standing-room-only venue was packed with family and friends, and everyone could waive and send kisses to Guy. His heart and our hearts were full. Guy was THE BIGGEST Lions fan. Because he loved them so much, Guy will be laid to rest in his Honolulu blue Barry Sanders jersey - the pallbearers will wear the black jerseys. Guy was a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. We encourage you to be comfortable, and if you have Lions gear, wear it. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a family hour starting at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion, MI 48362. A burial will take place at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, Michigan, at a later date. The family would like to express our thanks to the wonderful nurses at Trinity Healthcare in Pontiac and for the wonderful help and care given by Elara Caring Hospice.
