HAZEL JOSEPHINE CLARICE HEDGES. January 20, 2007 age 97 @ the Lake Orion Nursing Center. Hazel was born March 30, 1909 to Christ & Anna Anderson near Duluth, MN. In 1928 she came to Detroit where she met and married Ronald Hedges. There they raised their three children. Hazel was employed at J L Hudson in Detroit for 20 years. After her husband Ronald died in 1965 she relocated to Bay City, MI to be close to her daughter and family where she lived independently until the age of 96 in the Pineview Senior Apartments. In recent years, she found comfort in her church and cherished many hours loving and caring for her daughters' poodle named Sara. Hazel loved life and appreciated everything, especially her children and grandchildren. She was always there to encourage, and try to give guidance in a kind and loving way, And, she will be greatly missed. Survivors are her three children: Gary R. (Barbara) Hedges, Melinda Gail (Richard) Beaudry and Douglas Ronald (Betty) Hedges. 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren , 4 great-great grandchildren. Memorial service Saturday 11:30 am, January 27, 2007 @ the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 10:30 am until time of service.
