Helen H. Braidwood; of Lake Orion passed into a better world on June 14, 2012, age 99. She was preceeded in death by her parents William and Hortense Hubble; Husband Clarence, and sons Clarence Jr., and Bobby. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Spear of Tucson AZ., Grandsons Charles (Patty) of Waterford, Jeff (Mercedes) of Tucson, and Gene (Kris) of Lake Orion. Great-Grandmother of Brad (Ann), David, Ian, Isabel, and Dana; and one Great-Great-Granddaughter Ellora. Sister of Anna Kath of Seattle. Special Friend of Mark and Paulette Wright of Arkansas, and many nieces and nephews, especially Bonnie Ferguson, who took special care of her. Helen held one of the first licenses for boarding children in the State of Michigan, and later worked for Lake Orion Schools Cafeteria, retiring in 1974. She was Past Matron and an 81 year member of Orion Fellowship Chapter Eastern Star # 340. Funeral services Tuesday, 11:00 am. Lake Orion United Methodist Church. Interment Metamora Cemetery. Visitation Monday Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693-8336), with suggested visiting hours 2 to 4, and 6 to 8 pm. Eastern Star memorial services Monday 6:00 pm. Contributions may be made to Lake Orion United Methodist Church, or to the E. Alberta Colburn Scholarship for Rainbow for Girls. Memorial reflections may be made to www.sparksgriffin.com.
