Helen Griffith

Helen L. Griffith; April 28, 2015; age 77; Donald J.Griffith; April 29, 2015; age 80. Helen and Donald were longtime residents of Lake Orion and were married for 57 years. They are survived by their beloved children, Bart, Martin, Jeff, Luke, Luci and Cori; and grandchildren Drew, Katelyn, Korinne, Dean, Vincent, Paige, James, Geneska, Jonathan, and Jacob. Helen was a piano teacher, music lover and was an Early Childhood Development Specialist at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the Ehman Center and Lake Orion High School. Donald was also a teacher at Lake Orion High School for 32 years and was an Army Sgt. in the 7th Cavalry of the Korean War. Funeral services for Donald and Helen will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion at 11 am on Thursday, May 7, 2015. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with Scripture Prayers at 7 pm at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery.
