MEERSSEMAN, Henry J. March 9, 2009 Age 81 of Lake Orion. Loving husband of Meta for 59 ½ years. Father of Jay (Tammy) Theresa, Kim McLaughlin, Scott, Andre (Sara) and the late Mark and David. Father-in-law of the late Pat. Loving grandfather of Nathan (Alyssa), Daniel Leach, Michael, Dominic, Jordyn, Daniella, Jada, Chantel, Cory and Scott Jr. Brother of the late Richard. Brother-in-law of Ruth Marionis & family, Connie Poisson & family, Yvonne Poisson & family and Joan Meersseman & family. Special friends: Ken & Brenda Kaiser, Don Choiniere, Jane Wilson, Shirley Meersseman and Tito and Cathy Garcia. Mr. Meersseman was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. He also received 2 Purple Hearts. Henry retired from the Troy School District after 20 years of service. He enjoyed camping and his family will greatly miss him. Funeral service 11am Friday at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Thursday after 2pm, with suggested visiting hours of 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
