Henry Pena Sr. passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at his home in Pontiac with his loving family by his side. Henry served his country in the Army from 1967-1969 and was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from General Motors after giving 33 years of dedicated service. Henry loved music and loved playing the drums and was a very talented drummer.
Henry leaves to cherish his memory his children, Lisa Pena and Henry Pena Jr., daughter-in-law Maya and longtime love Estella Garcia. Henry is also survived by his brother, Rodolfo (Juanita) Pena Sr.; four sisters, Dora Pena, Delia (Oscar) Gutierrez, Jesusa Sauceda, Maria (Joe) Vela, Diana (Guillermo) Rodriguez; sister-in-law Rebecca Pena and a host of nieces, nephews who loved him dearly.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Jose Sr. and Herlinda Pena, his brothers Jose Pena Jr., and Francisco Pena, Sr. and his brother-in-law Eliseo Sauceda.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 46 Williams St., Pontiac, Michigan. The family will receive friends at Sparks-Griffin on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Interment at Perry Mount Park Cemetery following the serviceVisits: 3
