Horst Fischer

Horst Fischer; of Lake Orion; age 85; passed away on November 4, 2024.  Horst was preceded in death by his wife Nancy in 2017.  They were married on August 25, 1965 at St. Veronica in East Detroit and would spend 51 years together.  He is survived by his oldest son Glenn, his wife Christine and their children Benedict and Matthew, who reside in Hockenheim, Germany; his youngest son Dennis, who resides in Flint; and Heather, the daughter of Dennis, who resides in Colorado.  Horst is the brother of Alfons, Maria, and the late Hedwig, Anton and Birgit; and also has many nieces and nephews in parts of North American and Europe.  He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was an Usher and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.  Horst also enjoy to dance which led him to be involved with many dance groups.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 – 7 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion with the Knights of Columbus prayer service beginning at 6 pm.  The family will also receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 am until the time of Mass.
