Young, Ian Christopher. June 21, 2011 Age 26 of Lake Orion. Beloved son of Jeff & Debbie(Dunn) Young. Dear brother of Nicole(Mike) Wojtowicz and Kyleen Young. Uncle of Madelyn Wojtowicz. Nephew of Bill & Betty Dunn, Sandy & Juan Villarreal, Diane & Gene Kotecki and Greg & Jan Young. Ian was a graduate of Oakland Christian School, earned a Teaching Degree at Eastern Michigan University and had a passion for Theater, Music and Comedy. Ian was a Teacher at Lake Orion Scripps Middle School where he was able to share his passion for theater and drama with his students.He touched the lives of amny people with his humor, wit and passion for life. He overcame many medical challenges to live life to the fullest. Ian was a poet and songwriter and masterful musician. Developing his ability to play piano, guitar, drums and bass, he wrote and produced many songs and completed two CD's including playing, singing, recording and mixing, all by himself. Ian showed us all how to live love and laugh often. He attended Christ the King Church in Oxford, MI. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Christ the King Church (1550 W. Drahner Rd.Oxford). Family will receive friends Saturday 3-9pm at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Gift of Life, ARPKD/CHF Alliance or to the family for the Ian Young College Scholarship Fund for students from Scripps Middle School.
