IRA "BUTCH" WELCH of Lake Orion; August 26, 2013; age 69. Husband of the late Pamela. Dear father of Jeffery of Lake Orion, James of Davison, and Mischell Welch of Davison; Loving grandfather of Nicole; brother of Claude, Chuck, Bill, Vince, Bob, Del, Kenny, Lila Lalone and the late Danny, Lucille Eckalba, and Barb Rahl; special friend of Joyce Carter. Mr. Welch was an active member of Lake Orion Masonic Lodge #46, and Order of Eastern Star # 340. He was retired as a machinist. Funeral services Friday 11:00 a.m., Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693-8336). Burial East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Thursday with suggested visiting hours of 3 to 5, and 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic service Thursday 7:00 p.m. Eastern Star to follow.
