Irene Cochran

August 2, 1917 — July 14, 2009

Irene Cochran, age 91; of Millersburg, Michigan and Port Richey, Florida; passed away July 14, 2009. Born on August 29, 1917 in Rochester, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Edward P. and Charlotte E. (Axford) Thomas. She was a graduate of Lake Orion High School in 1935. Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by her large family. Her husband, John S. Cochran preceded her in death on January 13, 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Joan Elizabeth Brady, with whom she had been residing with in Danville, Pennsylvania; two sons, James Edward Cochran, and his wife Judy and William Thomas Cochran and his wife Helen, both of Lapeer, Michigan. There are also five granddaughters; two grandsons; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-grandsons; seven great-great-grandsons; three great-great granddaughters; two step-grandsons; a brother, Robert E. Thomas, Curran, Michigan and a sister-in-law Frances Cochran, Lake Orion, Michigan.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Orion Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Salswedel officiating. The family will receive friends with suggested visiting hours on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment in Eastlawn Cemetery.
