Isidro Aguilera

Aguilera, Isidro Sr., of Rochester Hills; passed away on May 6, 2006 at the age of 79. Isidro was born to the parents Jose and Julia Aguilera on January 1, 1927 in La Pryor, Texas. In 2004 he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Francisca. Isidro is the loving father of Roy (Pat) Aguilera, Isidro (Rachel) Aguilera Jr., Delia (Gilbert) Garcia, Julie (Carlos) Trevino, Gloria (Manuel) Ruelas, Helen (Angelo) Dicicco and Tina (Chris) Vasquez; dear grandfather of 21 and great-grandfather of 20. He is also survived by his two sisters Jesusa Alvarado and Lynda Tenorio and several nieces and nephews. Isidro was retired from General Motors after many years of service. He was a long-time member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Pontiac, the Guadalupe Club and the United in Christ Community Prayer Group. Volunteering was part of his life and for that Isidro was presented the Juan Diego award from the Archdiocese. Isidro was also active in volunteering with the church Soup Line and was awarded a certificate from the Mayor of Pontiac for his activity. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at church. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery.
