James Bennett Wright I

James Bennett Wright I, of Oxford; age 79; passed away on March 13, 2022.  Jim is the beloved husband of Judith Gayle Wright for 56 years; loving father of James (Amy) Bennett Wright II, Jennifer (Don) Miller and Judith Mary West; loving grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 3; and dear brother of Mark (Paulette) Wright.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents James H. Wright and Mary Schick.  He was a selfless man who loved helping others.  He was a real people person who never met a stranger.  Jim was a devoted member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church where he was always volunteering and helping anyone who needed anything.  Most of all he adored his wife Judy, his children and his Sheltie dogs, especially his favorite, Becky.  He enjoyed trips to Sault Ste. Marie where he loved to see freighters pass by.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his passion for helping people.  He will be deeply missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11am at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends for a visitation from 10am until the time of service.  A luncheon will follow at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
