James Russell Carlisle

February 1, 1916 — January 3, 2009

Carlisle, James Russell was born on February 11, 1916 to Sam and May Carlisle, the youngest of eight children. He went home to glory on January 3, 2009. Russell is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Sara Maxine. Dear father of Gilbert (Anita) Carlisle and the late John Russell. Grandfather of Todd Carlisle and Kelly (Paul) Wilson. Great- Grandfather of Steffen, Sarena, Brendan and Karlyn. Mr. Carlisle was a member of Pontiac Free Methodist Church for over 60 years and ministered in all areas of the church; currently attended Clarkston Free Methodist Church; retired in 1975 from General Motors after 37 years where he was a Model Checker. Funeral service Wednesday 1pm at the Clarkston Free Methodist Church (5482 Winell Clarkston 48346). Family will receive friends Monday 6-8 and Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Interment White Chapel Cemetery.
