James E. Ingram

INGRAM, JAMES E. of Lake Orion, died November 29, 2008 age 72.Son of the late Harold and Esther Ingram.Dear Brother of Marjorie Ingram of Washington State, Nancy Engelmeier of Tennessee, and Janet Ingram. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Mr. Ingram was a life long resident of Lake Orion. He graduated from Lake Orion High School, Northwestern University, and Wayne State University. Jim was a retired speech-pathologist with the Birmingham Public Schools for many years. He was active in the Oakland County Speech, Language and Hearing Association, and the Michigan Education Association. Mr. Ingram was an active member in the Orion Historical Society, Lake Orion Lake Association, and the Orion-Oxford Chapter of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was very interested in Lake Orion History, and many of his articles appeared in the Lake Orion Review. Funeral services are Friday 11:00 am from the Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693-8336) with interment in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:00 Thursday, with suggested visiting hours of 3 to 5, and 7 to 9 pm.
