James F. Hafner Iii

Hafner, James F. III; of Lake Orion; age 24; passed away August 16, 2014. James is the beloved husband of Janelle (nee: Neumeyer); loving father of Jacob; dear son of James (Kris) Hafner Jr. and Deborah (Ray) Schatzberg Lake; dear brother of Christopher Ehmann, Brandon Ponke and Jackie Smyth. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lester Schatzberg, grandmother, Shirley McVittie and his cousin and best friend Allen Smith. James was born on February 17, 1990 in Warren, MI. He was a 2008 graduate of Lake Orion, MI High School and an honor graduate of basic training. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, he was in an Iraq War Veteran and he served in Operation Odyssey Dawn. Funeral Services with full Military honors will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 at the King of Kings Evangelical Lutheran Church 1715 S. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion. The family will receive friends at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Flint St., Lake Orion, MI on Friday, from 12 to 8 p.m. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made for Jacob in c/o Hafner Trust, Safe Federal Credit Union, P.O.
