James Alexander Jeffrey Sr.

James Alexander Jeffrey; age 83; of Lake Orion; died November 28, 2011. Loving husband of Roberta for 45 years; dear father of Amy (Kirk) Miller, James Jeffrey Jr., and Vicki (Joel) Baker; and beloved grandfather of Paige, Courtnie, Kelsey, Noah, and Zachary. James came into this world on April 21, 1928 in Barton, Maryland. He is the son of George Francis Stewart Jeffrey and Meadie Green, and one of nine children: John, Florence, Edna, Viola, George, Paul, Francis, and Robert "Link". James is also survived by his sister Florence Stafford of Lonaconing, Maryland, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Orion Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Rath officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 6 p.m. until the time of services. The family has requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association, in lieu of flowers. Reflections may be made by visiting www.sparksgriffin.com.
