James Wynn, a man of profound sacrifice, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born on August 28, 1949, Jim belonged to a generation that understood the value of hard work and duty. He honorably served hisJ country in the U.S. Air Force, completing two tours of duty during the Vietnam War.
To Jim, being a "family man" was his life’s mission. He lived by the philosophy that his family’s happiness and success came before his own. Whether through his labor, his time, or his guidance, he consistently sacrificed his own needs to ensure his wife and sons had everything they required to thrive. His love was a steady, quiet force—the kind you could always lean on.
When he wasn’t looking after his family, Jim found his greatest relaxation in the rugged landscapes of classic Western movies. He was a particular admirer of John Wayne, finding a kindred spirit in the "Duke’s" characters—men of grit, integrity, and a simple moral code.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his sons, Christopher and Eric; and his three sisters, Mary Ruth, Tammy, and Cathy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny.
He leaves behind a legacy of selfless love that his family will carry forward forever. As the Duke himself once said, "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." Jim saddled up for his family every single day.
