Jane Margaret Johnson (Grossman); age 73; was called home to the Lord Monday morning, March 9th, 2026 while at her home in Vero Beach, Florida.
Jane battled several illnesses throughout her life which she fought tirelessly to remain present for her family, sons and grandchildren.
Jane was born January 9th, 1953 to late parents John and Lorraine (McCray) Grossman, the second of four children.
She married her soulmate Paul Robert Johnson on July 16, 1977. The two, destined to reunite, met as children whilst living abroad in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They formed a life together starting their journey in Michigan. They soon had a family of three boys; Timothy, Benjamin and David. Paul and Jane loved their family more than anything and treasured their time living abroad in London, Germany, and Dubai until her late husband passed away on January 9th. 2004.
Jane continued a minimalistic lifestyle with a huge heart. She found joy in supporting many fundraisers and donating her time to support groups. She loved to read novels, frequented Barnes and Noble, loved old tv shows and murder mysteries. She loved her dogs Odie and Buddy and her cat Lyla.
Jane was one of the most kind and generous people and set the best example of a daughter, a mother, a wife and a human being. She found her greatest joy in watching her family grow and experience life. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart. She never missed a birthday, holiday, wedding or event acting as a rock for her family and friends.
Jane’s passing brings a long-awaited reunion with her husband and a continued relationship with the Lord. There is so much joy in finding her long lost partner, dismissing the pains of worldly life and being present with our God. This is not a goodbye but the end of a journey, of which we will continue in the next life.
Jane is survived by her children, Timothy Charles, Benjamin Paul and David Michael; her sister Mary Neary; her brother Jim Grossman; and her four grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Madison Johnson, Amelia Johnson and Eloise Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Pontiac, MI. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow at Ottawa Park Cemetery.
