Jean Louise Wertenberger

June 1, 1920 — February 28, 2008

WERTENBERGER, JEAN LOUISE March 28, 2008 age 87 of Lake Orion. Born June 12, 1920 in Jerome, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents Ira & Freida Wertenberger and brother Wendall Wertenberger. She will be remembered as Jeannie to her dear friends: Pauline and the late Jim Egner: Kathie, Jon, Matthew, Trevor and Lisa Blaylock: Debbie, David, Grace and Lily Bartley: Chris Egner, and the late Mark Egner: Pam, John, Meagan & Zachary Chuey, and Janis Solack. Special Aunt Jean to Charles and Patty Spear: Jeff, Marcy, David and Isabel Spear: Gene, Kristi, Brad, Ann, Ian and Dana Spear. Special Friend to Helen Braidwood and Elizabeth Spear. Miss Wertenberger was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!). She spent her entire career teaching and counseling in the Lake Orion Community Schools, retiring in 1985. Memorial service Friday 11 am at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service time. Family will receive friends Thursday, 5-8 pm at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
