Jeanne Thatcher

August 2, 1926 — March 5, 2009

JEANNE M. THATCHER of Lake Orion. Born August 20, 1926, went to the Lord on March 5, 2009, at the age of 82. Born to Henry Thomas and Roxie (Dodd) Farrar in Waynesboro, VA. Married Robert Woodruff in 1944, and is survived by five children: Michael (Vickie) Woodruff, Robert Woodruff II, Kristine (George) Sondergeld, Lisa (Stan) Barger, and Julie (Paul) Laubhan. Loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Thatcher was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Woodruff, and her second husband Howard Thatcher, parents, and brother Henry. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also her many friends, especially the "Friday Night Girls". Mrs. Thatcher will be greatly missed by her church: Lake Orion United Methodist. She retired as a medical assistant after 30 years, and has devoted herself to volunteering herself to her church, Love Inc., and giving of herself to the Lord. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. from the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. Friends may call at the Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693-8336) after 2:00 pm. Monday, with suggested visiting hours of 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Lake Orion United Methodist Church.
