John F. Gorbutt

John Floyd Gorbutt; of Lake Orion; age 59; passed away on August 5, 2021 surrounded by his family and his close friend.  John is the beloved husband of Nannette Luchtman-Gorbutt for 22 years; dear brother of Linda (the late Dr. Richard) Scavo and Barry (Leanne) Gorbutt; loving uncle of Erika, Kim, Alyssa, Alaynna, Chad, Shawn, Alexander, Julianna, Madeleine and Ava; loving brother in law of Bruce (Lynn) Luchtman, RDML Fredrick (Maria) Luchtman, Michael Luchtman, Jennifer (Steve) Motz and David Luchtman.   John was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Betty Gorbutt. He was born in Columbus, Indiana in 1961.  John loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, family and friends.  He was in the electronic repair business for 41 years and was a business owner.   He was also a mentor to many throughout his career.  John was proud to be a 1980 graduate of Lake Fenton High School.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 11am at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2-6pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the ACPMP Awareness Organization.  Interment Clinton Grove Cemetery, Mt. Clemens immediately following the funeral service.
