John James Mccaffrey

John James McCaffrey; of Dryden; age 77; passed away on May 16, 2022.  John is the loving father of Susan Vaillancourt and step-father of Vicki Adkins and Crystal Kirby; dear Papa of Matthew (Elizabeth), Sarah (Matt), Eric (Cait), Brandon (Courtney), Bailee (Jason), Amanda (Paul), Tyler (Sarah), and Sophie; great Papa of Alaina, Caroline, Ethan, Kendall, Dawson, Auron, Evie, Jaxon and Kimber; and dear brother of Lloyd (Holly) McCaffrey, Gary (Chris) McCaffrey, Tom (Linda) McCaffrey and Sherrie Mosher.  He also loved all of his nieces, nephews and his God-son Jason.  He was preceded in death by his wife Rita in 1991 and later by his life companion Peggy of 28 years.  John enjoyed teaching his grandkids and spending time with them.  He spent a lot of time caring for his lawn and could always find a reason to be on his tractor.  He was a kind, caring, man who would help anyone in anyway that he could.  He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.  The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 3-7pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11am at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan.
