John R. Barnowsky

John R. Barnowsky Sr.; of Oxford; age 75; passed away October 4, 2019.  John is the beloved husband of Bonnie for 41 years; loving father of John (Zahanna Good) Barnowsky Jr., Andrew (Debbie) Barnowsky, William (Pamela Reynolds) Johnston and Kimberly Giambalvo; loving grandfather of Kyle, Michael J., Erin, William IV, Matthew (Shae), Elizabeth (William), and Michael B.; and special great grandfather of Mason.  John is also the brother of the late Fred Barnowsky, the late Jim Barnowsky, George Barnowsky, Martha Jenkins and Louise Ziembovic.  John retired from the Oakland County Road Commission after 36 years.  He enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping with his family and friends or taking care of his yard.  He was a loving family man and dear friend to so many thru the years, and he will dearly missed by all.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 11am at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.  Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Oxford. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
