John Gregory Thomas "Jt"

John Gregory Thomas was born September 1, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of Johnnie E. Thomas and the late Katherine Stepoli. Gregory's early childhood was spent growing up in the loving home of his grandparents, the late Johnnie and Nona L. Thomas along with his Aunt, Jacquel Hammond who proceeded him in death. John was a graduate of David Mackenzie High School. He attended Eastern Michigan University. He was a graduate of the Michigan State Police Academy. He excelled to lead a special detective unit at Grand Trunk Railroad. From 1995-Present he was the President and CEO of his company Worldwide Security. His reputation and service as an outstanding security agency was demonstrated when his company was selected to secure the TV series Detroit 187; the production of Tri-Star and Paramount movies Grand Torino and Transformers. John, Greg, JT or Mac as he was fondly referred to held a 3rd degree Black belt in Judo and was a Golden Gloves boxer. He also spent many hours coaching his sons' youth baseball teams creating lasting life memories. He often captivated and entertained friend and family with his ballroom dancing, storytelling, ventriloquist and magic skills. John was joined in marriage to Christina Castro (Jones) in 1990. To this union 3 sons were born. On September 1, 2008, JT was joined in Holy Matrimony to Constance Goode and relocated to live with his bride in Ft. Washington, Maryland. JT leaves to cherish fond memories his devoted wife Constance Thomas of Ft. Washington, MD; his father Johnnie E. Thomas and Step-Mother Wilhelmina Thomas of Detroit, Michigan, his devoted children, Gregory Thomas of Detroit, Michigan, Jaret Thomas and Julian Thomas of Lake Orion, MI; two loving step children, Julian (Nadeea) Goode, Lauren Goode of Ft. Washington, MD, Three grandchildren Taylor Thomas of Detroit, MI Julian and Milan Goode of Ft. Washington, MD. His sisters: Joslyn Thomas Hampton of St. Louis, MO and Cheryl Thomas Waters (Nathan) of Atlanta, GA. Donnalynn Jones of Detroit, MI. Penny Lundy and Kairon Davis of Detroit ,MI both of whom preceded him in death. One brother William K. Lundy of Detroit, MI. Mother-in-law, Norma Dorsey of Ft. Washington, MD; Sisters-in-law Shelia Abubaker, Celeste Barns, Iris Murphy of MD, Quentis Scott of NC. His special cousin Ronald Beard of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends will forever cherish his memory. Gregory's favorite expressions to his sons were: "There may always be someone bigger, stronger, or smarter than you, but never let anyone outwork you." On the word SUCCESS he would remark- "The only place success comes before WORK is in the dictionary" Thank you JT for your love, work ethics, and all the wonderful memories you gave to us.
