IN LOVING MEMORY of Jose "Chino" Roen Ruelas Jr.; age 57; of Pontiac; August 12, 2006; formerly of Mercedes, Texas. Jose was preceded in death by his father José Roen Ruelas Sr. and his nephew Antonio D. Ruelas. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Herminnia "Minnie" Ruelas and his mother Eva T. Ruelas of Pontiac. Jose is the proud and beloved father of José Roen (Buffy) Ruelas III, Karrie Ann Ruelas, Tracy Ewald-(Eugenio) Santos and Gina Ewald. He is the special Papi of Quentin Castro Jr., Ryan, Taylor, Jose Roen IV, and Alexis Ruelas, Tamara and Roen Ruelas, Pedro Morales III, Eugenio Santos III and Michael and Brandon Lilly. Loving great-grandfather of Quentin Castro III. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Juan (Pat) Ruelas, Rolando (Eva) Ruelas of Mercedes, Texas, Manuel (Gloria) Ruelas of Pontiac; two sisters, Yolanda (Juan) Herrera, and Linda (Tony) Ramirez of Pontiac. Beloved Godfather of Ramiro Casarez and Robert Mendieta Jr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. José retired from G.M in November of 2003 after 30 years of service. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with Father Sean Sylvester officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Rosary service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Interment Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery.
