Joseph Jean Gelibert Jr.

Joseph Jean Gelibert Jr.; age 56; resident of Pontiac, MI; died July 1, 2019 at his home with his wife by his side. At his request, no service will be held. Joseph was born January 26, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph  and Raymonde Gelibert. Joseph was the third son and third child of five. Joseph lived to make connections with family and friends. He was always reaching out and checking in on "his peeps". Although Joseph moved from New York to Michigan he never wavered from his love of the New York Yankees, New York Giants or the New York Knicks. Even when their season failed to bring in a win he would look forward to the next year with the same exuberance. His work ethic and the guiding Principle he lived by was beyond compare. He always strove to better himself and his situation. He never gave up and always had a smile, a laugh and a kind word for everyone. Joseph once commented that a righteous person is one that strives to be good and works on doing good. He tried his best everyday to live by that guiding principle. He kept a positive attitude and embraced everything life had to offer. Joseph is survived by his wife Dawn, a step son and daughter, his mother, a son, 3 brothers and a sister. He leaves behind so many who will miss his laughter and caring spirit. Rest in Peace Bro. We love you and miss you so much already.
