Josephine Satkowski

Josephine Satkowski; of Oxford; age 97; passed away on December 23, 2022.  Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Sigmund Satkowski and long time companion of the late Gene Rossi; dear mother of Johnny (Margaret) Satkowski, David Satkowski, and Mary (Bruce) Jackson; loving grandmother of Jeffrey, Dawn, David, Matthew, Christine, Jamie, Jacquelyn, Bruce and Kristen; and loving great grandmother of many great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Larry Satkowski and all of her brothers and sisters.  Josephine was a wonderful mother and homemaker.  She also worked hard for many years at the Michigan Bindery Company.  She was one of the  "Rosie the Riveter" women who replaced the male workers who joined the military during WWII.  Her favorite past time was Ballroom dancing, which was her passion in life.  She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends for a visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service.  Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan.
