Jovita Ramirez; formerly of Pontiac; passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Jovita is the loving mother of Connie (Steve) Alvarado and Jayson Perry Fielder; beloved grandmother of Johnny Garcia 3rd, Nicole (Alex) Sanchez, Gabriel Valadez, Sabrina (John) Alvarado, Angela (Chase) Wilkins, Stephen Alvarado, Jayson (Melissa) Fielder, Mariah Fielder, Alina Fielder and Sergio Fielder; and great grand mother of Caine Alvarado, Sincere Garcia, Maximus Garcia, Josue Jimenez, Jocelyn Jimenez, Xavier Valadez, Stella Sanchez, Savannah Salazar, John Salazar, Hudson Wilkins, Stephanie Alvarado and Elijah Ramiro Fielder. She worked for GM and retired after 9 years, was the first woman welder for the company Dresser Welding, and worked at Texas Instruments. She also loved to cook which led her to owning the El Gajito Restaurant in Pontiac, MI. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 10:30am at St Damien of Molokai Parish - St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 46408 Woodward Ave., Pontiac, MI. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 4 to 8pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac. Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery.
